The Center for the Study of Civil-Military Operations (CSCMO) hosted Raymond DuBois, a senior adviser at CSIS, where he focuses on civil-military relations, the "Force of the Future" Initiative, national security strategy and joint professional military education. He previously served as acting Under Secretary of the Army from February 2005 to February 2006. Mr. DuBois engaged with cadets in multiple forums including an evening dinner discussion with the Cadet Community on Civil-Military Operations, lecturing several sections and serving in a panel with Dr. Edward J. Erickson, an Associate Professor of Military History at the Command and Staff College, Marine Corps University in Quantico, Virginia. Mr. DuBois spoke on a range of Civ-Mil topics including Civilian Control of the Military, the role of Civil-Military Operations in Vietnam and challenges for our current Defense Leadership.
