Cadets Brief Capstone Results to SOCOM

Two teams of cadets from the Department of Systems Engineering supported U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) throughout academic year 2018 as their firstie year capstone. They provided systems engineering support and research for the Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS), a SOCOM project to build a powered exoskeleton for special operators. The two teams briefed their results to the SOCOM Acquisition Executive, Mr. Jim Smith '86 and TALOS Chief Engineer, COL Alex MacCalman '95. Cadets Allie Caudullo, Madison Jones, Josh Owen, and Corey Wilkinson, advised by Dr. Vik Mittal briefed "TALOS Objective Specifications and Technology Market Research." Cadets Fred Kamuzinzi, Shemar McCuller, Brendan McGuire, and Blake Warnock, advised by MAJ Steve Gillespie briefed "TALOS Behavioral Modeling in Support of System Verification." Both briefs were well received and provided TALOS with required systems engineering support.
