Cadets from the Department of Behavioral Sciences & Leaderships’ (BS&L) Management program traveled to Concord, MA for a site visit in support of their capstone project. The cadets are working with the National Park Service and Minuteman National Historical Park to evaluate the business components of park operations, address budget shortfalls, and explore revenue-generation options. While in Concord cadets conducted local market research, observed reenactment event planning and rehearsal, received an insider's park tour, and met with a variety of stakeholders including the park superintendent, president of the park's Friends Group, and regional representatives of the National Park Service. The project is ongoing, and will culminate with cadet presentations detailing their analysis and recommendations.
