Women's Rugby Wins Crimson 7s Championship Title

The Army West Point Women's Rugby team defeated Harvard, 34-10, Saturday evening from Robert A. Mingione Field to clinch the Crimson 7s Tournament Championship title. The Cadets dropped their first match 36-0 to Harvard, but later bounced back with a 32-0 victory over Northeastern. Army then defeated Brown, 26-19, in their third match of the day. The Blacks Knights advanced to the Semi-finals, defeating AIC 31-19, before heading to the Championship match facing the Crimson for a second time. Firstie Rebecca Stipp led the Black Knights offensively with nine tries. Yearling Bayleigh Gable added two conversions on four points. Gable also posted one try on five points for the Black Knights.
