20th Directed Energy Science and Technology Symposium

COL Hartke, LTC Ingold, CPT Konopa, Dr Pfenning, Dr Lanzerotti, cadets Johnson '18, O'Neill'18, Greer '18, Meyers '18, Hedglin '18, Le '19, Roll '19, Broussard '20) and Mrs. Sanborn traveled to Oxnard, CA to participate in the Directed Energy Professional Society's Science and Technology Symposium. The Symposium included seven conferences related to the science and technology of directed energy systems for defense. The cadets gave five presentations in the main technical sessions of the symposium. The research is supported by the Joint Directed Energy Transition Office (DE-JTO), the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command, and the Army Research Office. The trip was enabled by the Class of '67 Endowment to the Department of Physics and Engineering.
