The Center for Innovation and Engineering hosted LTC (R) David Henderson '85, Mr. Scott Newburn, and Mr. Steven Chambers engineers from AeroVironment's Macready works to discuss future collaboration opportunities. LTC Brian Novoselich facilitated the visit which spanned seven academic departments, DMI (Department of Military Instruction), and IID (Institute for Innovation and Development). The visit allowed the AeroVironment to better understand the various ways unmanned aerial systems are currently being employed for both research and training. AeroVironment has expressed interest in developing a stronger relationship with the academy, beyond their current Academic Individual Advanced Development (AIAD) sponsorship.
