Nordic Skiing at the Farmington Invite

The Army West Point Nordic Ski Team traveled to Maine to ski in the University of Maine/Farmington Invite at Carter's X-C Ski Center in Bethel. Five members of the Army West Point Nordic team participated. The race, part of the ECSC (Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference) was a 1.2K Sprint Classic loop, with women and then men starting at 15 second intervals; the top 20 from each sex would advance to a series of elimination rounds. Ben Brea '18 led the West Point men in the 1.2K sprint completing the circuit at position #22 in 4:43.37. The rest of the men finished immediately behind him: Peter Elmlinger '19 (#23, 4:47.74), Tyler Stansbury '19 (#24, 5:00.90), and Monty Smith '19 (#25, 6:41.69). Tina Le '19 finished #29 in a field of 37 female skiers, with a time of 8:21.04.
