Phi Alpha Theta Annual Induction

The West Point Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the History Honor Society, held its annual induction for new members in Jefferson Hall’s Haig Room. Members must major in history and have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.1 GPA in their history courses. Following a brief social hour and opening remarks by COL Gail Yoshitani, the Deputy Head of the History Department, faculty, staff, family, and friends witnessed the induction of twenty-eight cadets. The cadets took a brief oath and then received certificates and congratulations from BG Cindy Jebb, Dean of the Academic Board, and COL Yoshitani. All then enjoyed an inspiring speech from BG Jebb to finish the evening.
