The NYPD’s Disorder Control Unit (DSU) and Strategic Response Group (SRG) hosted a training event for 22 Law Enforcement Tactics Club (LETC) members and newly branched Military Police (MP) firsties at their training center in the Bronx. Cadets received instruction and went through rifle drills leading up to scenario-based training using simunition rounds. Upon completion of training, the NYPD trainers allowed the cadets to create scenarios and had their officers run through them. The cadets were motivated and many expressed that this was the best trip section they had been on. Captain Miller and his crew from the NYPD went above and beyond what was expected, providing world-class training and an experience the cadets will never forget.
