Johnny Surdick and David Symmes of the Army West Point men's lacrosse team have been recognized as Inside Lacrosse Preseason DI Media All-Americans. Surdick was voted to the second team, while Symmes was given an Honorable Mention nod. Surdick, a cow defender, earns the honor after being named the Patriot League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. Last season, the Odenton, Md., native led the Black Knights with 1.93 caused turnovers per game to rank him 16th nationally. Symmes, a midfielder from Fairfax Station, Va., will be back for his firstie season after leading the Black Knights with three game-winning goals. He was second on the team in points with 35 on 25 goals and 10 assists. The Black Knights kick off their season with a three-game home stand at Michie Stadium. Tickets are now available for the upcoming season and can be purchased through the Army Ticket Office.
