The Army West Point women's tennis team picked up its first two wins of the season, taking down Binghamton, 4-1, and Sacred Heart, 4-0, on Friday at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
They completed their weekend sweep by outlasting Seton Hall 4-3 Saturday morning at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The Black Knights evened their record to 3-3, while the Pirates dropped 1-2. Army improved to 14-9 all-time versus Seton Hall. The Black Knights have won 8 of the last 9 meetings between the two squads. Rookie Sasha Inchauste's in in the sixth flight made her the only cadet-athlete to win multiple singles matches on the weekend. The doubles team of Melanie Allen and Ana Joyner won all three of their matches in the No. 1 doubles position for the Black Knights. They are now 10-7 on the year. Read More
