Cadets Attend American Physical Society Conference

Cadets Christina Bouvier, Sidney Gonzalez, and Adaya Queen attended the American Physical Society Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) in New York City hosted by Columbia University, Barnard College, and City College of New York. CUWiP is composed of a series of simultaneous conferences held nationwide with the intent of encouraging undergraduate women to stay in physics through professional conference attendance. Topics covered at the conference include networking skills, professional speakers and presentations, tangential careers enabled by a degree in physics, and achieving work-life balance. Attendees interacted with others and discuss issues facing engaging women in and retaining them in the physics discipline.
