Smith Earns Patriot League Honors

Keagan Smith of the Army West Point men's track and field team earned Patriot League Male Track Athlete of the Week honors after a packed weekend slate. Keagan Smith, a yearling from Huntley, Ill., placed first in the one mile at the Ted Nelson Invitational in College Station, Texas. He clocked in with a time of 4:09.61, just three seconds short of his college best. His time leads the Patriot League and is currently ranked 35th in NCAA Division I. This first place spot assisted the team in their second place finish at the meet. The Black Knights take a break through the holiday season and return to action on Jan.20 at the Penn-8 Team Select held at the Ocean Breeze Track in Staten Island, N.Y.
