Why do States do What They do?

The International Affairs Forum hosted their final panel of the semester. The "Why do states do what they do?" Panel Series on North Korea was attended by approximately 100 cadets and faculty in the Haig Room. The guests included Ms. Bonnie Glaser, senior adviser for Asia, and Mr. Ken Gause, director of the International Affairs Group at the Center for Naval Analyses. The cadets discussed North Korean state behavior based on structural conditions, domestic politics, and leadership dynamics; and to assess this behavior along with appropriate policy responses from Chinese and American perspectives.
