Psychology majors from the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership and cadets enrolled in the Foundations of Counseling course traveled to participate in a Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) demonstration at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City. Cadets learned about the application of REBT theory and techniques to problem-solving and emotional regulation. They interacted with Albert Ellis Institute representatives and civilian participants from the local area through an interactive demonstration. A group discussion then facilitated understanding and addressed questions regarding the techniques, thought processes, and underlying philosophy of the theory.
