Crew at the Head of the Charles

Army Crew competed in the world-renowned Head of the Charles and six boats Army entered all represented West Point admirably. Competing among some of the stiffest competition the country has to offer, the Men’s 1V finished 15th out of 37 in the collegiate 8 earning an automatic bid for next year. For some perspective, they were only 7.5 seconds from a top 10 finish and beat Coast Guard in the race. The woman’s 1V finished 15th out of 25 in the collegiate 8, and the men’s 2V finished 19 out of 36 just out-side the top half in the club 8. The woman’s 4 finished 30th of 36. The women’s collegiate 4 was the only woman’s entry for many schools with boats comprised of their program’s top 4 rowers. The men finished 27th out of 52 in the club 4 event, one place from an automatic reentry.
