Cadets Alexis Eliopulos ’19, Jaquish, Eliopulos ’19, and Tyler Paget ’19, have had the opportunity to take advantage of cultural visits to some of the diverse regions of Morocco. Over the Eid al-Adha Holiday (Feast of the Sacrifice), the cadets traveled to Chefchaouen, also known as “the Blue City,” in the Rif mountains. The following weekend the Cadets traveled to the city of Casablanca and visited the Hassan II mosque. These excursions have exposed the cadets to cultural and historic sites and have provided numerous opportunities, outside of the confines of the classroom, to practice speaking standard Arabic as well as the Moroccan dialect.
