Heat Transfer Additional Instruction Heats Up

Recently Heat Transfer in one session alone, 11 students came by for some help solving the 2-dimensional Heat Diffusion Equation using Separation of Variables. The course leverages skills from the Math curriculum to applications in engineering. The problem – while challenging – included an assessment of using a ground based laser system to defeat an inbound mortar round using several simplifications.
