Firstie Reaves Klipstein and yearling AJ Barretto were both rewarded by the Patriot League for their performances on Saturday at UMass with weekly accolades. Klipstein was named the league's defensive player of the week, while Barretto was tabbed as the goalie of the week. Klipstein led a defense that held UMass to just two goals on a total of 19 shots, including only 12 through the first three quarters. He tied his career high with three caused turnovers and picked up five ground balls in the win. The defense held UMass to the fewest goals in the series history, which is 26 games old. Barretto was also a main factor in shutting down the Minutemen offense with seven saves and only two goals allowed. He held UMass off the board for the first 26:46 of the game and Barretto was big in the clearing game as the Black Knights went 22-of-24 in clears. He also picked up four ground balls in the win.
