The Army Alpine and Freestyle Ski Teams had a great weekend at Belleayre Mt, NY. The weekend’s race consisted of both Giant Slalom(GS), Slalom(SL), Ski & Boarder Cross and Slopestyle disciplines. Cadet McCarthy ’20 took 5th in Ski Cross and 4th in slopestyle, and cadet Paul ’18 took a 15th in Boarder Cross and 15th in slopestyle. Galen Robison served as a judge and in course management, he was a great asset for the conference overall at Belleayre and received many praises for his service. Army women finished 4th in GS and 3d in SL. Cadets Hall ’19, Paulo ’18 and Harvey ’20 finished 10th, 11th and 23rd respectively in GS and 9th, 12th and 17th in SL. Army men finished 3rd in both GS and SL. Standout racers were: cadets Harkins ’18, 2nd in GS and a 1st in SL, Flanagan ’20 6th in GS and 7th in SL. Top 20 finishers included cadets Kearney 13th in GS and SL, Riley, 15th in GS and SL, Walters ’20 12th in GS, Whitlow 19th in GS and 14th in SL and Trust ’18 20th in SL. Other racers making their presence known and finishing at the Belleayre Mt. race included cadets Mueser ’19 and Young ’19, and Carter ’20.
