Members of the Hudson Valley Cultural Forum traveled to Storm King Art Center in Cornwall on Hudson to tour its extensive grounds. Mrs. Tully oriented Cadets to the sculptural works near the visitor center, and Cadets then took a 45-minute tram ride to view the sculptures in the outlying parts of the park. In the afternoon, Cadets traveled to Katonah for its famous poetry series, where Paul Muldoon, Pulitzer-prize winning poet and poetry editor of The New Yorker, read a selection of his works and took questions from the assembled audience. The Katonah Poetry Series is entering its 50th year, and its organizers expressed interest in having regular Cadet attendance at future series offerings.
