Eight cadets from the Model Arab League traveled to Rabat, Morocco to compete in the Morocco International debate hosted by the Université Internationale de Rabat. In addition to the cadets, the debate featured high profile US Model Arab League programs and students from Moroccan universities. At the conclusion of the debate, the cadets returned to West Point with outstanding delegate and honorary delegation honors. The club provided two delegations to the competition, representing the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Slitting into four different committees, the cadets tested their rigorous preparation against some of the thorniest issues facing the Middle East. Aside from the debate itself, the cadets learned a great deal about planning and executing an event that crosses different funding sources, Combatant Command Areas of Responsibility, and Force Protection measures. The cadets were also able to visit the much of the Moroccan capital. Complimenting their club activities, the Cadets seized the opportunity to gain an understanding of modern Moroccan society, culture, and its historical roots with France, Spain, and the United States.
