French Language Cadets Service-Learning Experience

Cadets in LF475 participated in a Service-Learning experience on at the Monroe-Woodbury Middle School. Thirteen Cadets and Dr. Praud spent the day with Madame Long and Madame Hutter's 7th and 8th grade French classes. For the 7th graders, the Cadets prepared a presentation on French-speaking countries. At the end of the presentation, the Cadets engaged with the 7th graders with a game of Jeopardy, rewarding the students with euros or Swiss francs for remembering new facts about these francophone countries. In the 8th grade classes, the students practiced their French conversation skills with the Cadets and honed their vocabulary skills through an engaging and competitive game of Pictionary.
