Kosciuszko Squadron Polish Culture Forum Cadets marched with scores of New York Metropolitan Area cultural, veterans, commercial, religious and social groups during the 79th Pulaski Day Parade. The event commemorates Kazimierz Pulaski, the Polish cavalry officer who trained and led some of America’s first mounted units during the Revolutionary War. Cadets assisted Bishop Andrzej Zglejszewski at St. Patrick Cathedral's altar during the Parade Mass. Later, as Parade Breakfast guests of honor, Cadets interacted with leaders of Polonia and the Polish Republic, including Stanley Karczewski, Marshal of the Polish Senate, and Senator Anna Anders whose father, General Wladyslaw Anders, led the Free-Polish Army in WWII. Following the Parade, Cadets enjoyed authentic Polish cuisine at New York’s Kosciuszko Foundation. During the reception, Cadets and student-members of NYC Polish cultural organizations met to plan future events.
