American Revolution West Point Defense Simulation

Phi Alpha Theta Cadets and CPT Antonio Salinas participated in a simulation exercise to plan the defense of West Point during the American Revolution. Cadets received instruction on a number of staff roles to include: Chief of Staff, Intelligence Officer, Engineer Officer, Artillery Officer, and Naval Officer. The Phi Alpha Theta Cadets war-gamed a British invasion and emplaced a number of batteries, forts, redoubts, as well as a chain and a boom to deny them the ability to utilize the Hudson River. The Cadets honed their military skills by presenting their recommendations in a formal brief. Following the staff portion of the simulation, the Cadets walked the fortifications on West Point and discussed their assessments at the shore batteries as well as at Fort Putnam.
