Parachute Club Kicks off the NY Air Show

The Parachute team kicked off the start of the New York Air Show on 16 September, with Cadet Raheem flying in the national colors as MSG Mary Messenger sang a stirring rendition of the National Anthem which ended just as CDT Raheem touched down on the field. A full demonstration followed immediately after completion of the anthem and displayed the precision and accuracy of the Parachute team while Cadet Muraski narrated a play by play of the team’s movements. The second jump of the demonstration displayed the Black Knights ability to land at two locations simultaneously as they performed a “show line split”. Three members of the team landed in front of the announcer’s podium as the rest of the Black Knights landed in front of the general admission seating area. This provided a unique opportunity to interact with the crowd as the team walked the length of the viewing area on their way back to the team’s transportation. The Knights were warmly received throughout the air show often stopping for pictures and conversations with those in attendance.
