JACKSONVILLE, FL - Sophomore Lee Bares and junior Trevor Touchton were the first competitors for the Army West Point track and field teams at the NCAA East Preliminaries in Jacksonville, FL, on Thursday. Both posted marks that rank in the top three individually for them lifetime. "Lee Bares was jumping very well today," said Army Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Mike Smith. "He has been a great competitor all year and today was no exception. We could not ask for much more from him. He was his best at the end." Bares competed in the Pole Vault and reached 5.25 meters, his season-best and second-highest vault all-time, trailing only his school-record of 5.31 meters. Read More
