5 cadets (2x civil engineers, 2x environmental engineers, and 1x mechanical engineer) and 1 faculty member attended the Lower Hudson Valley Engineering Expo at White Plains High School. This is the 13th annual STEM event targeting middle and high school students to encourage them to consider careers in engineering and technology. The 4,000-plus students and parents had the opportunity to meet first-hand with more than 40 colleges and universities (including USMA, USCGA, and USMMA) and more than 40 engineering firms and public agencies. The expo also included a young engineer’s mentorship panel, several engineering competitions involving robotics and infrastructure, as well as a Boy Scout and Girl Scout merit badge and patch opportunity.
