Crew Spring Training on Hartwell Lake in Clemson, SC

Over Spring Break, the West Point Army Crew conducted their spring training on Hartwell Lake in Clemson, SC. CDTs Brad Wagner ’16 and Jefferson Wilkes ’16 served as the lead planners for the FTX-equivalent trip section. All teams conducted rigorous morning and afternoon practices, accelerating their preparation for the spring program. The Varsity and Novice Men prevailed in two of five x1500 meter scrimmages against a strong Purdue program. The Women’s Team scrimmage was cancelled due to incoming inclement weather. For the second year in a row, the entire team conducted their Spring Training with a mission of developing team unity, pride, and respect for one-another with a vision of building “one team of significance, worthy to win”. By all accounts, the operation was a tremendous success.
