Gray Earns League Athlete of the Week Recognition

CENTER VALLEY, PA - Sophomore designated player Emily Gray has been named the Patriot League's Athlete of the Week after her 11-for-17 performance for the Army West Point softball team last week. This is the third week in a row that a Cadet has earned a weekly honor from the league. "Emily is a big part of our lineup so it's been great to have her back," said head coach Michelle DePolo. The Naples, FL, native notched a homerun and four doubles last week to total six RBI. In the team's 11-2 (5 inn.) win over Rider, Gray was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate and tallied three triples. She went 11-for-17 overall to amass a batting average of .647 and a slugging percentage of 1.059. Gray batted over .500 in all five contests last week and hit over .647 in all but one contest.
