Two cadets and two faculty from the Department of PaNE attended the 3-day APS Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) at Wesleyan University in Middletown CT. The conference showcased career opportunities available to physicists through plenary talks, panel discussions, and a career fair. Participants had the opportunity to network and interact with over 200 fellow undergraduate women physicists as well as a variety of industrial and academic leaders. Cadet Abigail Daniels described her experience at the conference in the following way: "I greatly enjoyed the conference as it opened my eyes to many of the opportunities and fields within the study of physics. I am very glad I was given the opportunity to attend this conference."
Upon returning to USMA, Cadet Christina Bouvier stated: "Seeing so many aspiring and successful female physicists reminded me that we are part of the precious gems group of our society: rare but brilliant and bright. The exposure to so many people at different points in their career was extremely educational for a young physicist just beginning her journey through life." Dr. Upali Aparajita of PaNE was selected to participate on the "Academic Careers Panel."
