WEST POINT, NY - Men's basketball senior Tanner Plomb has been chosen as the Army Athletic Association Athlete of the Week after averaging better than 24 points per game this past week. Plomb, who hails from Mukwonago, Wis., averaged 24.4 points in Army's 2-1 week that included a home win over Monmouth, who entered the game receiving votes in both national polls, and a victory at preseason Patriot League favorite Lehigh on the road to open conference play. Plomb scored at least 23 points in all three games and equaled a career-high with five assists against the Mountain Hawks. Plomb shot 41.9 percent from the floor (26-of-62), including a 40.9 effort from beyond the arc (9-for-22) and was 12-for-17 at the line. Plomb has scored in double figures in every game this season and 24 games overall dating back to last season. He has four consecutive 20-point performances and nine this season to up his total to 20 for his career.
